  MON., AUGUST 2 -NIGHT TO UNITE

      Due to the early start of school in August 2010, the events formerly known as Hot Dog Night / Night to Unite and the Ice Cream Social are being
combined.
       Windom’s Night to Unite will include the following:
         * Food and Ice Cream Sundaes sponsored by the Windom Area Chamber of 
            Commerce.   Hot Dog or Brat Meals and FREE Ice Cream Sundaes with
            tickets from participating businesses or 50 cents cash.
         * Pie and Bake Sale by the First Presbyterian Church Women
         * Vehicle Fair by the Cottonwood Co. Law Enforcement, Windom Police
            Dept., MN. State Highway Patrol, Emergency Management, Ambulance,
            Windom Fire Dept. and School District.
         * Child Passenger Seat Safety Information by the Cottonwood-Jackson
            Community Health Services.
         * Interactive Display - "Hands Are Not for Hitting" by Southwest Crisis
            Center.
         * Free books for children by Early Childhood Initiative.
         * Get On the Bus Supply-Raiser for the Windom Area School District.
         * Student Auction Fund-Raiser by the Windom Area High School Booster
            Club.
         * Winfair Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) information, face painting 
             & treats.
         *  Safety Bingo with prizes by Child Abuse Prevention Council &
             Cottonwood County Probation

SAT., SEPTEMBER 11— CHAMBER FUN FEST

GOLF TOURNAMENT - CASINO NIGHT 
& BEER & WINE TASTING 

    The event will begin with participants in the Golf Tournament teeing off at 3 p.m. at the Windom Country Club. We hope to have 18 teams participate in the 4-person, best-shot fun tournament.
         The Golf Tournament will be followed by a Casino Night and Beer and Wine Tasting beginning at 7 p.m. Casino games will include blackjack, roulette and craps. Hors de oeuvres will be available and full servings of liquor will be for sale. Prizes will be awarded for various activities!
         All components of this event are open to everyone! Packages will be available to suit the activities in which you wish to participate. Tickets will go on sale in August at the Chamber Office.

CRAFT & COLLECTIBLES SHOW

TUES., OCTOBER 5—WOMEN’S NIGHT OUT

      This popular event will return once again under the leadership of Mary Iliff and Shannon LaCanne. 
        It will include a delicious dinner, shopping from specially-invited vendors, reveals of local ladies selected for a Day of Pampering and motivational speaker Gaye Hanson. Hanson is known for her high energy, which combined with her poignant stories and hilarious anecdotes, leaves her audiences wanting more.
       Please watch for information on nominating women for the Day of Pampering and advance sale tickets.

SAT., OCTOBER 23 - FALL FESTIVAL

       Watch for details on this Saturday morning event which will feature food, a mini-pumpkin scramble and costume contest for kids, plus a new feature - a costume contest for pets!
